New Season, New Chapter — Why I Became a Purity Culture Therapist in Denver, Colorado

There are therapists who specialize in purity culture because they read about it in a textbook. And then there are therapists who specialize in purity culture because they lived it — and did their own healing work to find freedom from it.

I am the second kind.

As a purity culture therapist serving women virtually in Denver, Colorado and Dallas, Texas, I bring both my personal lived experience and my advanced clinical training in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR to every session. This combination — lived understanding plus clinical expertise — is what makes the work we do together uniquely powerful.

My Story

I grew up immersed in purity culture. I know what it feels like to be taught that your body is dangerous. That your desires are something to be ashamed of. That your worth as a woman is tied to your sexual purity.

I also know what it feels like to carry those messages into adulthood — into relationships, into your body, into intimate moments where shame shows up uninvited even when you've done all the intellectual work to understand where it came from.

My own healing journey brought me to Somatic Experiencing — a body-based approach to trauma healing developed by Dr. Peter Levine — and it changed everything. Not because it gave me more insight into my patterns, but because it helped me actually feel different in my body. The shame that lived in my nervous system began to release. The disconnection I had learned to live with began to soften.

That experience is what shaped the way I work with women today.

All sessions are completely virtual — giving you access to specialized purity culture therapy from the privacy and comfort of your own home, anywhere in Colorado or Texas. I also offer in person sessions in Denver, CO.

Why This Work Matters

Purity culture is more pervasive than most people realize. It touches millions of women — many of whom spend years, even decades, carrying shame, disconnection, and confusion without ever having language for what happened to them or a safe place to heal.

My mission is to be that safe place. To offer healing that goes beyond talk therapy — that reaches the nervous system level where purity culture's wounds actually live.

If you are a woman in Denver, Colorado or Dallas, Texas who is ready to begin reclaiming your body, your sexuality, and your sense of self — I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
